The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg will be welcoming the development of the Agri-Innovation Park to its Municipal Industrial Park on Harold Whynot Road. The purpose of the Park is to advance the agriculture industry in the South Shore and to create an innovative centre for new enterprises and products.

An Agri-Innovation Park Association has been formed to oversee the development and operation of the Park. The Association established a Board to be responsible for the supervision and stewardship of the operations and activities of the Association. The Association has requested that Council appoint one Councillor and one Member-at-Large to sit on their Board.

The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg is seeking expressions of interest to fill the member-at-large position on the Board. Any resident of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg with an interest and experience in agriculture is invited to submit a letter of interest on or before Wednesday, August 1, 2018. The letter of interest should include a brief description of your interest in the Board’s work and how you can contribute to the Committee’s discussion.

The Board meets approximately five (5) times a year.

A copy of the Board’s Terms of Reference is available from the Municipal Clerk.
