On Saturday September 22, 2018, registered voters in the Hemford Forest subdivision will get to vote on whether land use planning regulations should be established for their identified community.

Before the date of the Plebiscite, municipal planning staff will host two information meetings at the Hemford Fire Hall (2121 Highway #208) for residents and property owners in the Hemford Forest subdivision. Both meetings will start at 7.00PM. The meeting dates are:

Meeting Date #1: Wednesday June 13th, 7.00PM

Meeting Date #2: Wednesday September 5th, 7:00PM

These information meetings (& Plebiscite) are a result of a resident petition received by Municipal Council in February. At the meeting: staff will outline and discuss the basic concepts of Land Use Planning (Zoning).

If you are a local resident or property owner within the subdivision, you are encouraged to attend this meeting, and discuss with staff, and with other citizens, the potential impacts associated with land use planning in your community.
