The Municipality of the District of Lunenburg is the third largest rural municipality in Nova Scotia in terms of total property assessment and encompasses a geographic area representing over 432,000 acres. Our municipality surrounds the towns of Bridgewater, Lunenburg, and Mahone Bay, which are incorporated separately and not part of the district municipality.
The Municipality is home to a population of over 24,863.
