Mushamush Beach Park is a municipal treasure! Located on Mushamush Lake in Sweetland, it is a pleasant drive from anywhere in our Municipality.
The park is open May through to October from 9 am until dusk for swimming, picnicing, paddling; or a leisurely walk. The lake is shallow with a very low grade making it an excellent swimming area for little ones and those not comfortable in deep water. The LCLC run swimming lessons at this location. Call 902-530-4100 for information.
The beach is equipped with picnic tables and on-site privies. There is also a children's swing set.
To make it easier for residents and visitors to access the beach, we have introduced an accessible Mobi-mat®. Mobi-mats® provide a stable surface for all, which can be especially helpful for people with mobility challenges, wheelchairs users, families with strollers and more. Mobi-mat® is environmentally friendly–it is 100% recyclable. The surface is non-slippery, UV and weather resistant. The Mobi-mat® will be used seasonally.
Come prepared to spend the day. Pack up your swimsuit, beach blanket, shovel and bucket, and maybe a good book. Unfortunately, you will need to leave your pet at home as pets are prohibited. If you are looking for a location that allows pets, all of the other Municipal parks are pet on-leash parks.
Address: 11 Aulenback Point Road, Sweetland
